I’m loving that my family (mom, dad, and youngest sister) came out to visit us last week! We did all sorts of fun things around town, but I’ll save the specifics for another post :-)

I’m loving the yummy dinner we had on St. Patrick’s Day! We always have corned beef and cabbage to celebrate the holiday, and we also enjoyed some of our favorite Irish drinks. Yum!

I’m loving Timbuk2 laptop messenger bags. I think this is what I want for my birthday, but with different colors that I can customize online. I bought a couple of fancy-looking laptop bags before I started my new job but the straps have frayed and broken on one of them already and I haven’t even had the job for three months. The Timbuk2 bag just seems like it would be the perfect, durable work bag for me. What do you think?

I’m loving this funny thing printed on a small traffic cone in a gift shop in San Francisco. Hilarious! And relatable…

I’m loving our church and all of the wonderful friends we’ve made in just a few months! Everyone is so wonderful and welcoming and nice and we just love being a part of such a great group. We can’t wait to get to know these people even better.

And I am ALWAYS loving these wonderful guys!

What I’m Loving Wednesday

 

It has been a while sine I’ve participated in What I’m Loving Wednesday and I’m excited to be back!

I’m loving California! I will always be a Colorado girl at heart, but I am loving this state too. The beach is less than an hour away in one direction and the mountains are about two hours away in the other direction. Can’t beat that!

I’m loving Zazzle.com! I have used this site before to create custom postage for our wedding and holiday cards, print holiday and moving cards, and print invitations. I just design everything in Photoshop, upload my file and, voila! Custom designed stuff. Recently they have added a whole bunch of new products that you can print on, like throw pillows, napkins, placemats, and kitchen towels! I don’t know why this makes me so darn excited, but it totally does. Hello custom everything! (No, they didn’t pay me to say this, I just love it so much!)

I’m loving wine. No, not because it’s fun to drink (well, it is), but because of my new job at a winery I have a whole new appreciation for it. I am learning so much about the wine making process, different kinds of grapes, what can give the same varietals different flavors, how vintage can affect taste, etc. And now that I’ve had the chance to sample many of my company’s wines, I’m hooked on them for life.

I’m loving that my mom, dad, and youngest sister are coming to visit on Friday! So far my aunt and uncle have been the only ones to visit since we moved, so it will be nice to have some other visitors. We have plans to check out San Francisco, do some wine tasting, and go out to eat at some fun places. I can’t wait!

And, of course, I’m loving these two guys!

What I’m Loving Wednesday

I’m so excited to share what I’m loving this week! So far, it has been a great week!

I’m loving that FIVE IRON FRENZY IS BACK FROM THE DEAD!! The band broke up eight years ago yesterday and last night they announced that they are back and they plan to release a new album in 2013! They are my favorite band ever - so much so that one of their songs was the inspiration for my blog title. If you missed the big announcement, visit www.fiveironfrenzy.com.

I’m loving that it is the end of November and there are roses still blooming in my garden!



I’m loving that in a few hours I will be on a plane headed back to Colorado to celebrate Thanksgiving with family and friends!

I’m loving the pictures we took this past weekend for our Christmas card. I had so much fun playing with my camera and lenses and posing… even if I did have to use the remote to snap the pictures :-) Here are a couple of my favorites.

It has been a while but I am back for What I’m Loving Wednesday! Be sure to link up with Jamie and let us know what you are loving this week!

I’m loving my new holiday blog design! Usually I avoid all things Christmas until after Thanksgiving, but after designing this look I just had to put it up right away!

I’m loving Mochi Ice Cream. I had never had it before but saw it at Trader Joe’s and fell in love. Dave isn’t a big fan but that just means there’s more for me. Yum!

I’m loving Trader Joe’s! They have so many wonderful and yummy things at great prices :-)

I’m loving our new cell phones with the text-to-speech feature. It is such a time saver!

I’m loving that I am getting to spend more time with Gromit. Since I don’t have a job yet G and I get to hang out for most of the day. I love it when he comes to sleep on my lap!

I’m loving all of the new friends we are making here in California!

I’m loving my wonderful husband who is working hard at his new job! I still can’t believe grad school is over and we’re living in California. Crazy!

What I’m Loving Wednesday

Its been a while since I’ve been up to doing What I’m loving Wednesday but I am finally loving enough to have something to share! Be sure to link up with Jamie and let us know what YOU are loving today!

I’m loving our new house! There is plenty of space for us, guests, and room for any future family members ;-)

I’m loving IKEA. We have been there twice since moving here to get all sorts of stuff for our new place. TV stand, bed frame, sheets and comforter, DVD cabinet, bar cabinet and desks have been in our hauls. And I love how relatively inexpensive it all is! And I love how all of the finishes on the furniture match from department to department (like the finish on the TV stand matches the bed frame, if you want it to). Yay IKEA!

I’m loving California and our new town! There’s so many new things to do around here and we are loving exploring the area.

I’m loving Skype. Since I can’t see family and friends in a short car ride I am relying on Skype to keep me up-to-date with what in going on with everyone. Thank goodness for video chat! Moving would have been a lot harder before it.

I’m loving this cute dog who is loving hanging out in his new backyard.

I’m loving my husband who is working hard at his first week at his new (and first) job! I so appreciate all that he has done to finish grad school and get this awesome job that is so good for our family and our future. I love you, Dave!

What I’m Loving Wednesday

I’m back for another edition of What I’m Loving Wednesday. I’m glad to be focusing on some more positive things :-) Remember to link up with Jamie to share what YOU are loving today!

I’m loving my wonderful family and friends. They have been so supportive through this tough time of transition for me. It makes me anticipate missing them even more. Because I just couldn’t resist sharing, here’s a picture of my friend, Jessy, and her adorable daughter at the movies on Sunday.

I’m loving that I get to have lunch with my friend, Trisha, and her cutie pie daughter on Friday! (Pictures to come later).

I’m loving that our friends, Mike and Charma, welcomed their first baby into the world on Sunday. We can’t wait to meet the newest little miracle in our circle of friends!

I’m loving the USA Pro Cycling Challenge that is happening here in Colorado! It is so neat to see my beautiful state on display on TV. If Dave can finish his dissertation by the end of the weekend we may just go and check out the finish of the final stage.

I’m loving my bible study group. I will definitely miss their fellowship after I move in a couple of weeks.

I’m loving my husband and the fact that today is the 8th anniversary of when Dave asked me to, “go out with him and stuff”. Yes, that is a direct quote. The “stuff” has been pretty awesome. Thanks for a wonderful eight years, Dave! (Picture circa 2004)

What I’m Loving Wednesday

Whew! It has been a wild week for me and I just haven’t had the time or drive to keep you all updated on what is going on. So Sorry! The short story is that we have been in California to find a place to live once we move and it has been a stressful and draining process. Our current lease ends in two weeks and we’re still not sure where we will be living in California - Eek! Good news is that God has this figured out already; I’m just waiting to be let in on the plan. Any time now, God…

Anyway, on to what I’m loving this week!

I’m loving In-N-Out Burger. We went two times while we were in California last week and I can tell it is going to be dangerous having one in our new home town. Hopefully it will become less of a novelty soon.

I’m loving that I get to be part of the process of hiring my replacement at work. It is bittersweet, and a little weird, but I’m glad to be included in the process.

I’m loving that my youngest sister is moving into her dorm tomorrow! She is going to have such a great time in college!

I’m loving that we are moving to a place with lots of wineries near by. I hope I’ll be able to learn more about wine and better appreciate the flavors of the different blends. Sounds like a fun mission to me ;-)

I’m loving that I have an awesome aunt who has been helping us with advice and who has been doing some “stealthy” fact finding missions during our house hunting process. I don’t know what we would do without her! We love you!

I’m loving our last few weeks of living in Colorado. I really, really, really love this state and I’m just soaking it all in.

And, I’m loving my sweet, but stressed out husband who is working so hard to finish his dissertation and graduate with his PhD! Keep it up, Dave!

I’m loving my new blog design :-)

I’m loving that I get to pick up my our new camera tomorrow! It has been torture waiting for it to arrive.

I’m loving that I am going to Yellowstone National Park this weekend for a girls’ photography trip. It is the perfect opportunity to break in my our new camera.

I’m loving this cute newborn hat that finally arrived in the mail yesterday. I ordered it off of etsy three weeks ago and the seller said that she somehow overlooked the order and that’s why she didn’t ship it sooner. I’m sad I didn’t get it in time to use for Makenzie’s newborn photo session, but maybe she’ll fit into it in a few weeks. Oh well, if nothing else I can use it for future newborn photo sessions. Any takers?

I’m loving Amazon’s Cloud Mp3 player. Any songs or albums I buy online are stored to my cloud player which I can access and stream from an app on my Droid. I love technology!

I’m loving our sweet dog, Gromit. He is so much fun to have around!

And I’m loving my wonderful husband who is working so very hard to finish his dissertation in the next couple of weeks!

I’m loving how much fun I had being a wedding coordinator ay my cousin’s wedding this past weekend. Perhaps this could be a new side job for me?

I’m loving that I got to see so many members of my extended family at my cousins wedding. Since we’ve all grown up and moved all over we don’t get to see everyone very often. Hopefully we can get the photo of all of us from the wedding photographer… because I didn’t get a picture. Oops!

I’m loving that my sweet second cousin (my cousin’s daughter) asked Dave to dance at the wedding, and he agreed. It brought a tear to my eye to watch him dance with her. Aren’t they cute?



I’m loving that I have some really exciting news… that I have to keep quiet for a little while longer. Sorry to tease, but I promise I will spill the beans soon!

I’m loving that I was invited to go to Yellowstone National Park with my friend, Brianna, and her friend, Stacie. It will be a fun girls weekend full of photography and beautiful views!

I’m loving that I got to take newborn pictures of Miss Makenzie. Isn’t she a doll?



And, of course, I’m loving my wonderful, hard-working husband!

What I’m Loving Wednesday

I’m loving that I get to meet my friend’s new little girl tomorrow! She is a week and a half old and it is high time I got to meet her!

I’m loving that I am going to attempt some newborn photos with that sweet little girl. I have never done newborn photos before but I am super excited to give it a try!

I’m loving that I get to be the wedding coordinator for my cousin’s wedding this weekend! I can’t wait to make sure her day goes the way she wants it.

I’m loving that some of my cousins from out of town will be visiting for the wedding this weekend! We haven’t seen them in a while and it will be so nice to catch up and meet some of my second cousins (their kids) who I haven’t met yet!

I’m loving that Gromit’s tummy is looking much better after being on antibiotics for 24 hours. He was bitten by ants and possibly a tick this weekend when we went camping. The vet decided it would be a good idea to start him on antibiotics to prevent Lyme disease.

I’m loving that I got my swap package from my Midsummer Night’s Swap partner last night! I’ll be posting about that tomorrow :-)

I’m always loving my super smart and super hard-working husband who I have been married to for four years!

What I’m Loving Wednesday

Happy Wednesday! I hope you all are having a fabulous week so far! Here’s what I’m loving this week:

I’m loving that my friend had her baby this past weekend! She welcomed a beautiful little girl into their family and I can’t wait to go meet her next week!

I’m loving that my cousin asked me to be her wedding coordinator for her wedding next weekend! I am so excited to help her in any way I can and make sure her day goes just the way she wants it to!

I’m loving that the last Harry Potter movie comes out this week! I am so excited to see how the story ends, and I know it is going to be a great movie!

I’m loving the new blog design I’m working on! It is not quite finished yet, but I can’t wait to be able to put it up soon.

I’m loving that we are going camping this weekend! This is probably the only time we’ll get to go all year because our weekends are so busy, so I’m really looking forward to this trip.

I’m loving this new Vera Bradley pattern! It is called Happy Snails and it is from the new fall collection of colors. I have an unhealthy obsession with Vera Bradley stuff so I think I’ll be needing something in this cute pattern soon!

And, I’m loving that tomorrow I will have been married to this wonderful man for four years!

I'm loving that tonight is date night (it is every Wednesday for us) and we have a fun picnic planned at one of our favorite spots in the canyon. I just hope we don't get rained out!

I'm loving that one of my best friends should be welcoming her first child into the world this week! I can't wait to meet this new little girl!

I'm loving that Dave and I are re-watching all of the Harry Potter movies in anticipation of Deathly Hollows, Part 2 coming out next Friday. We've already got our tickets to the 12:03 a.m. showing... in 3D!

I'm loving that Dave surprised me and scheduled a rafting trip for us on Sunday! Rafting is one of my favorite but rarely done activities. We are going to have so much fun going through class III and IV rapids!

I'm loving that our 4th wedding anniversary is next week! I can't believe it has already been four years!

What I’m Loving Wednesday

It’s time again to link up with Jamie for What I’m loving Wednesday!

I’m loving restarting morning workouts with Dave. We are trying very hard to do some sort of exercise on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. The only hard part is getting up when that alarm clock goes off!

I’m loving being back from vacation and spending more time with this sweet little guy.

I’m loving that my sister, Kelly, turns 21 on Friday! We have some fun things planned to help her celebrate this milestone!

I’m loving that July 4th is on Monday! It is my favorite holiday of the year because there is no pressure to spend time with certain people and it is basically a free day to hang out with whoever is available, have a picnic with yummy food and enjoy the night-time fireworks! There is nothing better!

I’m loving that we already got out tickets to see the final Harry Potter movie at 12:03 a.m. on July 15th! Dave and I really like the Harry otter movies and we’re excited to see the finale on the big screen. Have you seen the previews yet? It looks pretty awesome…
